1: Old Magazines or Newspapers

We all have them and often keeps them because of certain articles or recipes that spoke to us. There is no need to keep the whole magazine for this. One thing you can do is get a three ring binder with empty file holders. This way when you come across that article or recipe. You know where you can keep just what you like not the whole thing.
Better yet go paperless and do online subscriptions to these magazines, and every article and recipe is kept for you.

2 : Expired and Unused Food

Our pantries and cabinets are chock full of unused and expired foods. Search for those and begin to declutter. Sometimes there are local food pantries and shelters that want unexpired boxed or canned food. If you know your not going to eat it let someone else!

3: Out of Date and Broken Electronics

There are local places that will recycle these things for you. Check out your local Best Buy store. When you enter there is a long grey recycling center right their for you. I’m serious there is a slot for batteries, phones, cords, TV’s, computers, game systems …. The list goes on and on! Check it out!!!

4: Broken Toys

If your child has a toy that is broken. Let that be your reason for saying goodbye. How as parents do we pair down. Create a rule: if it breaks it goes. This can also apply to games. If there are pieces missing. In Elsa’s words “Let it go!”

Now get rid of those clothes you took the time and effort to lose the weight. Now get rid of the clothing wieghing you down and reminding you of that time!

7: Books

Children’s books in particular. I love reading to my kids and we owned a lot of books. I got used to donating the books that are out of their age groups to shelters that were needing these. Adults are now switching to our kindles for books as well. If you have books that are available digitally. Say it with me like Elsa ” Let it Go!”

8: Broken Jewelry

If you lost an earring the other one can go. If a chain is broken that can go. Easy no brainier decision.

9: Lonesome Socks

You know it that basket with lonely socks. Places like goodwill won’t let these go lonely anymore! They donate them to land mine victims. Let them move onto a better life and free up space in your house.

10: Unused Kitchen Tools

You know the ones you bought for that specific recipe, but haven’t used since. Yup it can easily clutter your kitchen drawers. Let it Go!!
